I-T dept strikes Lalu Prasad Yadav’s partners in Rs 1,000cr benami bargains


NEW DELHI: The Income Tax division on Tuesday done assaults at 22 areas in Delhi-NCR on organizations and individuals related with RJD boss Lalu Prasad Yadav in association with benami arrive deals+ worth Rs 1,000 crore.

“Individuals and businesspeople associated with the land bargain including Lalu Prasad and his family are being looked. There are charges of benami arrangements worth about Rs 1,000 crore and resulting tax avoidance,” a senior authority said.

A group of around 100 assessment office authorities and police staff are directing the strikes, they said.

While assaults are being led at twelve areas, ten other authority premises are being studied by the I-T division, they said.

The BJP had a week ago blamed Lalu, his MP-little girl Misa Bharti and his two children, both Bihar government priests, of being required in degenerate land deals+ worth over Rs 1,000 crore, and requested that the focal government test one such exchange in Delhi.

Union clergyman Ravi Shankar Prasad had charged that these exchanges were an instance of “compensation” as they go back to the period when Lalu Prasad was the railroad serve, and challenged Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to make a move against him.
