Raipur: Over 200 bikes were on Sunday gutted after a fire broke out at an approved stopping zone of Raipur Railway Station in Chhattisgarh’s capital here, police said.
The fire was seen in the vehicles positioned in an edge of the parking area in the railroad station premises at around 12 twelve, SHO Government Railway Police (GRP) Raipur Rajkumar Borjha told PTI.
Fire and crisis administrations were promptly educated and GRP and RPF (Railway Protection Force) work force were squeezed into administration to clear stopped bikes, including bikes and mopeds, to safe spots, he included.
It took around two hours to totally splash the blazes and bring the circumstance under control, he included.
When fire was put under control, more than 200 vehicles, a few bikes were gutted in the blast.
The late spring heat combined with winds and fuel spill helped spread of the fire, said police.
